Hold up to 40 seats for 90 days with only a $500 deposit

This offer applies to new group bookings only, made at least six months before departure, and is non-refundable. A second deposit of $250 per person is due approximately 60-75 days after booking.  Additional seats held require a deposit of $250 per seat. Final payment is due 75-90 days before departure.

*Excludes Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts. Other exceptions and exclusions may apply.

Group Price Promise

If your group’s package becomes available at a lower group price than the one paid, we will make a one-time price adjustment (upon request) up to 100 days before departure. The package must be the same as the one originally booked and must be available at the time the Price Promise request is made. Travellers will receive a maximum refund of $200 per adult and $100 per child.

Flexible name change/exchange policy

If someone has changed their mind and can not travel, you can change the name on a deposited room for a fee of $50 per change.   The final passenger list is due 75-90 days before departure.

Pre-booking  group excursions

Pre-booking has its advantages. We even offer pre-arranged itineraries and private tours. Plus, all quotes are in Canadian dollars. 

Family seating assignment

Families travelling with children between the ages of 2-13 years inclusive will automatically have seats assigned 21 days prior to departure. The assigned seats will be listed on the e-documents.

Q: How many people do I need to make up a group?

We offer Group rates for a minimum of 10 or more passengers (children two years of age and under are excluded of the total number) travelling to the same destination and property over the same dates. The group can be comprised of multiple gateways & durations.

Q: Can we travel from different cities across Canada?

Yes, as long as you have a minimum of 10 or more passengers (children two years of age and under are excluded from the total number), depending on the destination, we offer flights from several cities across Canada.

Q: Do all Transat promotions apply to group travel?

No, not necessarily. We offer many promotions exclusively for groups but they are not always combinable with other offers for example promotions outlined in our brochures may be geared toward individual bookings. Please refer to the promotions section or consult your quote or contract for promotions applicable to your specific group.

Q: What if more people want to join our group later on?

Unless otherwise advised anyone joining into the group following the original booking date are subject to new rates. Original rates are valid for the number of passengers booked at the time of the initial contract.

Q: Do I need travel and/or medical insurance?

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance, please enquire about options. Passengers who decline insurance will be asked to sign a waiver.

Q: Why do I need to sign a group contract?

A contract serves as confirmation that a booking has taken place, it also serves to confirm all relevant terms and conditions pertaining to the booking process, as well as reminders of several critical dates where action is required, such as names, payments, finalization of files, penalties, etc.

Q: Can I book activities, excursions, and tours before we leave?

Yes, we have a variety of several popular excursions to choose from. If you have a minimum of 10 participants, you may be entitled to a group discount.

Q: Can I book a private excursion for my group?

Definitely! Any of our tours can be booked either as a private group excursion or as part of a regular tour with other clients. The number of passengers required for a private excursion varies, therefore, please speak with your group sales representative for all the details.

Q: What is the difference between a group excursion and an individual?

Individual excursions are purchased when the number of clients booking an excursion does not meet the minimum requirements of group prices/conditions. On the opposite, if the number of passengers booking an excursion meets the minimum, then we would quote group prices/conditions. Please keep in mind a group excursion isn’t necessarily a private excursion. There is a minimum requirement for private excursions, if the minimum is not met additional fees would apply.

Q: If I pre-book an excursion on a specific day and the weather isn’t good, what happens?

When booking an individual excursion, the actual day is not pre-booked from Canada, the passengers book the actual day with the rep in destination. When booking a group excursion, you must confirm the date of the excursion prior to departure from Canada, a group excursion cannot be cancelled or changed in destination. By booking in advance, Transat’s providers in destination secure space for your group, guaranteeing availability for them.

Q:  What is the difference between booking with Real Family Travels vs. booking directly with Transat?

Real Family Travels offers you the same great deals that Transat offers.  The difference is you will KNOW the person on the phone when you have questions or concerns.  You will be transferred to the "next available agent" each time you call and will never be treated like you are just another booking.   Your group travellers will also have access to the same great service and will have the option to call us directly.  You don't have to do all the coordinating.
