What Does “Run of the House” mean for All Inclusive Resorts?
Run of the House  /  Deal of the Day  /  Manager’s Special
Run of House(ROH) or any of these terms generally means you will be staying in a room decided upon by the hotel. In it’s simplest form, it means you will get whatever room is available at the time you check-in.

This is a great option if you are choosing the most basic room the hotel offers.  You might be better off to choose ROH and hope for something a step or more better than the basic room.  This room is best for guests who will be happy with their room whether they are upgraded to a beachfront luxury room or the standard hotel room at the back of the resort next to staff quarters.  Guests who choose this room category typically are not granted a room change if they are not happy with the category/location of their room upon check in.

If you specifically require a Jr. Suite/ocean view/pool view/close to main building / or accessible room then you are strongly encouraged to book that category.  You most likely won’t be given an opportunity to upgrade (for a fee) at check in unless there is availability.

Generally speaking – you get what you pay for when it comes to room categories!  🙂
